About Me

UMD Graduation

Hi! I’m Christina (Sielbeck) Vimini, otherwise known as Chrissy, your average nutrition-loving 20-something.

A proud Terp, I graduated from University of Maryland College Park in Spring 2010 with a degree in Dietetics.  During the end of my senior year, I was matched to the University of Maryland College Park Dietetic Internship class of 2010-2011.  This internship is the only kind in the country with a focus on information technology and nutrition communications.  After a busy internship year (all documented within Mission: Dietitian) I passed the RD exam and started my career in El Paso, Texas!

Throughout my career as a Registered Dietitian, I plan to explore the various opportunities the field has to offer, ranging from clinical dietetics to one day earning a masters degree in nutrition or public health.  I would also like to integrate my nutritional knowledge into spreading information to the public via information technology, such as maintaining a web site, writing articles, blogging, and using social media.  Speaking of- check out my electronic portfolio, originally an internship project!  Additionally, as an Army wife, I have a whole new set of challenges ahead of me, especially with moving to different parts of the country every few years.

This blog, Mission: Dietitian, serves as a sort of personal experiment, as well as a way to communicate to others what goes on in the life of a dietetic intern and new dietitian.  Feel free to leave a comment or any questions!

Special thank you to Kim Sielbeck for my header and logo design.

  1. Glad to have found your blog! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! 🙂

  2. The link for your electronic profile is broken. I’d love to check it out if still available! =) LOOOOVE your blog by the way. A newborn and a two year old have been distracting me, but I’m slowly getting through it!
